Gun Friendly States Have Lower Murder Rates

Posted by Raven on January 5th, 2009

Via Instapundit & Say Uncle:

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says North Dakota has had only two murders so far this year. He says that’s the lowest yearly number for the state in at least 30 years.

Stenehjem says North Dakota averages about 11 homicides annually for the past several years, after a high of 22 in 1993. 16 were reported last year.

TWO?? The method of choice was stabbing.

Where guns are allowed, with little restrictions, one will see lower rates of violent death.

Maybe I should move to ND.

Texas scored 9 points and ties for 29 out of 50 (or is it 57 states) states. Those Brady Campaign people are CRAZY! Get this crap that they had to say about Texas:

    SHOOT FIRST
Is deadly force allowed to be a first resort in public? Yes
Texas – The state does allow the use of deadly force as a first resort in public. This dangerous law permits the average citizen to bypass our entire justice system by permitting him or her to assume the role of police officer, prosecutor, judge, and executioner.

Um. Douche-nozzles. This doesn’t mean that you get pissed at your neighbor and then go and blow him away, or have a shoot-out at high noon on main-street. What this means that if you are confronted with a need to use deadly force, usually in response to the immediate threat of deadly force to you or others, then you don’t have to try to run-away (in the case of a home invasion), or try to call the police, who are only minutes away when you have seconds to prevent harm. It is called an inherent RIGHT TO SELF-DEFENSE you communist f–ktards. This law doesn’t create a right to MURDER someone. It is common sense. You enter my house, or place of business, uninvited, then you just might be subject to a really bad case of lead poisoning. I hate these people. They are an example of the nanny state gone wild.

Go Oklahoma! Got a 2 out of 100 and ranked 49th by the dear Bradleys.

I knew this was a great place to live…..

  4. Raven Says:

    BWAHAHAH Duncan….ouch. Funny. But ouch!!!

HOW DAMN DARE YOU WANT TO DEFEND YOURSELF?? That’s not YOUR job. Call 911.

The gun control assholes would just as soon sacrifice the lives of a few thousand of us every year, our right to carry guns- in exchange for OUTLAWING gun ownership to all.

  5. Raven Says:

If I moved to CO, between you and me, we’d have an arsenal that rivals many police depts. Somehow I don’t think many would mess with us, if they could find us. Heh.

  6. Raven Says:

    Which state is no. one??

  7. Just John Says:

Did you see the map on that page that depicted the locations of “high profile shootings?” The dolts are completely clueless to the fact that their own graphic shows the clusters of shootings in the areas with the toughest gun “control” laws.

  8. Raven Says:

    John,
You hit the spot. I did see that and I know somewhere, there is a website that highlights this very fact! I’ve spent the last half hour trying to find that site or one like it and cannot. Later I’ll go to the NRA as surely they must have a graphic that points out this hard painful truth.
