I Won. Therefore, I AM. A Child.

So much for striving for a united, bi partisan government. Politics as usual, maybe…
Except, I don’t think we’ve ever seen such examples of childish behavior, words and phrases.
During his private meeting with congressional Democrats and Republicans on Friday, President Obama ended a philosophical debate over tax policy with the simple declaration that his opinion prevailed because “I won.”
Democrats called it a light-hearted moment that drew laughs around the table. Republicans said there was laughter but couldn’t recall if any of it came from their ranks.
Of course the Democrats laughed. Why shouldn’t they? After all, they rule the houses now. They don’t need Republicans anymore. At least not right now.
Obama invoked conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh in a discussion about the danger of allowing partisan differences block progress on the stimulus bill, which currently costs $825 billion.
Leaders don’t make threats and issue innuendo. Leaders bring people together, through common goals; leaders respect differences of opinion…they seek it, they listen, and seriously consider. Oh wait, I forgot. Obama is not a leader…skill wise. He’s a child. Who resorts to childish antics. He is making a game out of the economy and the playground is his office. How mature a man he really is.
Obama explained that lawmakers were closer together than the public realized on the stimulus package but warned of pitfalls if Congress and the White House don’t work together. Again, according to participants in the meeting, Obama said this about rising above typical partisan differences: “We’re all political animals, we’ve all got political bases,” the president is reported to have said. “If we don’t get this done we (the Democrats) could lose seats and I could lose re-election. But we can’t let people like Rush Limbaugh stall this. That’s how things don’t get done in this town.”
Perhaps Obama had a moment of reflection. Probably not…you see, this game is all about OBAMA. It is not about the United States. It’s not about the Democrats. It’s not about the people. It’s not about anything more or less than HIM.
“I could lose re-election”?? Is he already planning that far ahead? We’re not even one week into his term and he’s already worried about four years from now? Appears that way. Obama is an arrogant, foolish and very stupid man. The last thing he should be doing is pissing off the right, now…it might win him some brownie points with his friends during this recess we call his first term…but it will stir the pot and get some steam boiling on the other side. Words and phrases like this will cause an awakening from the right.
Pay back is a bitch. And rightly so.
A real leader doesn’t resort to such games. Expect more of this from Obama the child.

Can you imagine the hissy fits the leftards would have thrown if Bush had said that?

Payback is a bitch. Obama’s statements represent the rage Americans feel after having to endure 8 years of Neo-Con dictatorship. Personally, I like my presidents to stand up against the poor leadership that republicans have come to represent, so I hope Obama does more of this.
The only people who cry about “bi-partisanship” are the looser.

Oh really. So all that time the Republicans were in charge and the calls from the Dems for more bi-partisanship, it was because they were “looser”…. umm.. okay… the Dems do resemble 3 dollar whores on half-price night after all…

Yes. I went there.

Ahh saul…you don’t know history now do you? When a President alienates his opposing party, history shows us THAT party wins seats in the next mid term elections. Obama mentioned this. He knows.
You do have it right: For the past 8 yrs Dems have been the losers. Yet, President Bush signed more of their legislation into law than any other President in history- only vetoing 4 pieces. Remember, the most recent Congress was and is controlled by Dems and THEY have gotten the lowest approval ratings of ANY Congress in the history of the US.
Nearly 60 million of us voted for Obama’s opponent. Our voices will be heard- Obama has no choice if he wishes to truly change things. Sadly, he’s already pissed off more than he has pleased. His words have consequence…bet we hear more on this and soon.

Actually, it’s more like Obama is imitating Lon Chaney.
In a few more weeks I suspect we’ll get a much clearer (and scarier) picture of what’s happening.
However, Obama does seems to be following Alinsky’s playbook quite faithfully, and that’s not a good portent.
