The Iraqi election went extremely well in the province of Anbar, as reported in an e-mail from a marine who witnessed it. Surely we all remember Anbar, arguably the most dangerous part of Iraq, before the surge.

Here’s a small excerpt:
We might just pull this off without a bombing. No way. By 4PM it seemed like we’d make it to 5PM when the polls closed. At 4:30 the unbelievable happened: the election was extended an hour to 6PM because of the large crowds! What are they kidding? Tempting fate like that is not nice.
Were they successful? Read the e-mail (at Knottie’s niche) and find out.

The media is too distracted with the Obamamaniac to take note of anything good happening in Iraq. Sadly. And I fear it’ll all be for nothing now too…Barry will end the “war” by cutting and running- things will look good at first BUT it won’t last. He will take credit for the good and blame Bush for the bad.
I miss Bush. He was a far better man than Barry will ever pretend to be.
