In Afghanistan, British forces have raided and destroyed a Taliban drugs factory, in the process seizing £50 million ($US90 million) worth of heroin and killing at least 20 Taliban fighters.
As reported in The Age (Australia) and The Province (British Columbia, Canada):
In an operation that involved weeks of planning, 700 troops from the Royal Marines, Special Boat Service and army swooped on a Taliban drug factory and arms stronghold in the Upper Sangin Valley in Helmand province.
The Special Boat Service is the Special Forces unit of the British Navy and Marines, and have been in Afghanistan since late 2001.

It seems that Obama has approved sending more American troops to AFGNSTN. It’s his war now…and A LOT of people are banking that Bin Laden will be captured…wouldn’t that be swell? I still think he’s long dead…BUT….
