John Kerry – No More Animal House!
Posted by Duncan on March 8th, 2009

Hey, Senator Kerry, how long until the next Spending Orgy™, my toga is in the cleaners.
Clearly, this is no time to party. Economic indicators are deeply troubling. Household debt-to-income levels are at historic highs, and estimates show that homes continue to be overvalued by as much as 30 percent. Many credit-card companies are facing insolvency. And commercial real-estate projects across the nation are quickly coming to their moment of crisis.
What does this have to do with lavish and frivolous spending by TARP recipients? Everything. If Americans continue to lose faith that their tax dollars are being used to rescue the economy, they’ll rebel — at a time when more painful investments and sacrifices must be made to avoid a deeper and deeper recession.
Make no mistake: We need fewer concerts with big-name attractions and more of the hard work to get our economic house in order. This may just be one of those times when Congress needs to save the big corporations from themselves.
That’s right you darned ol’ Big Business Fat Cats. No more lavish parties.

I just wish Kerry wanted to spend his wife’s money “for the good of the country” as much as he wants to spend mine.

So when did this blog change its name from “andrightlyso” to “obamano”? the last 10+ posts have all been about obama. there is nothing wrong with that, and if you want to keep an obama-watch going thats cool, but how about posting about other conservitive issues too?
Just a thought….

Islamic terrorists have carried out 12,841 deadly attacks since 9/11. Gee, I guess its time now for someone who knows what their doing to take over. I seem to remember that that’s why the conservatives got ousted. Well other than crashing our economy. I know, 6 weeks and we still haven’t cleaned up your mess yet. Hey, you spent 30 years trashing it, get back to me in a year and then we’ll talk.
And yes, FDR did alleviate the depression, just read your history books for a change.

Kensolar,,, sorry to disagree, WWII got us out of the “Great Depression” Noke a “chicken in every pot” spending. The only real good that came out of the great depression was the CCC/WPA where the individuals got the money,,,and they worked for it.

The Depression was still going strong 8 years after FDR took office. Some “alleviation”.
Hmmm, I seem to remember the economy doing pretty well back during 2006. I wonder what’s happened since then. Oh, yeah. The Dems swept back into power.
By the way, Duncan, comparing John Kerry to John Belushi is just plain unfair – to Belushi, that is.

Maybe Monsieur Waffles should tell that to President Neophyte, who spends quite a bit of time partying with big name attractions, all on the public silver dollar.

Maybe if all these politicians spent their time working to make things better instead of giving incessant speeches telling us about how great we are, maybe I could get a full-time job!

Instead of spending “their time working to make things better” (a scary thought, since that’s what caused this whole mess to begin with), why don’t they (doesn’t he) stop trashing the economy and the country? Seems to me that if you yell “calamity” and “catastrophe” as often as Kerry, Obama and the rest of the tax cheat donkeys do people are going to hoard their cash.
