“Tyranny exercised for the good of its victims…”

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their consciences.” –C.S. Lewis
Anybody else see the soft tyranny we’re experiencing, our betters at Versailles on the Potomac slowly turning the heat up on proverbial pot as the frog sits idly, not noticing itself beginning to cook?

I think that a lot of people know that “something” is wrong.
But they’ve been too dumbed down to realize how bad this downward slide of America is right now.

I know a lot of people who believe Obambi is what is wrong- yet they still believe we must give him more time…after all, he’s got a lot on his plate.
How much more of the BS people will take is THEEE question. Many if not most still appear to be supporting this idiOt; a few are starting to speak up and question; even fewer are actually screaming. But the tide is starting to rise, ripple by little ripple, soon to turn into waves.

As Thomas Sowell has noted, the Vision of the Anointed is not about improving the lot of even a single person, but about feeling good that one has done something to improve the lot of humankind no matter the consequences. Hence, liberal policy for the last century and longer has in fact made living conditions worse for those it is purportedly designed to help. As good as all those disastrous policies have made the Anointed feel, it is without hesitation that they can screw up everyone’s lives and feel even more wonderful because they know that their intentions are good.
That’s all that counts, right?
The most foolish are those who know beyond a shadow of a doubt their own wisdom.
