Descent into the Maelstrom-I: Now it’s TV talk show hosts joking about statutory* rape of politicans’ daughters
Posted by civil truth on June 11th, 2009
[*Newsflash: Dave Letterman last night (6/10) claims he wasn't making jokes about statutory rape, merely jokes about rape...and he's totally down with that.
Excuse me, I need to throw up...
Commentary to follow in a separate post...]
The recent campaign of misogyny by men from the left to dehumanize and subjugate conservative women who speak out in public continues to spiral ever downward to new and unprecedented depths of depravity. In the past week, we have now reached the pit of public rape fantasies.
But first, let’s go back to August 2008.
The campaign started with the nomination of Sarah Palin as the Republican Vice Presidential campaign, which launched a vile blizzard of personal vituperation and calumny against her and her family members unprecedented in its fury, which remained at fever pitch for several weeks; the personal attacks are still continuing more than nine months later.
We saw the fury and vile insults, along with demands to depose her, initiated by contest judge Perez Hilton, which erupted against Carrie Prejean, Miss California after she answered Hilton’s question during that contest in which she stated her belief that marriage was between a man and a woman.
Another next lurch downward occurred last week, when Guy Cimbalo posted a story on the Playboy blog So Right It’s Wrong: The Top 10 Conservative Women We Love to Hate in which he elaborated on his “hate fuck” fantasies in graphic detail of how he wanted to have violent sex with (i.e. rape) each of these women, complete with “hate fuck” ratings. [link contains captured screen shots of the article - definitely NSFW]
After howls of protests from the right blogosphere (and a few honorable bloggers on the left), Playboy limply and flaccidly took down the story with no explanation. AOL then proceeded to shoot the messenger by firing Tommy Christopher (a liberal blogger) from their site for having had the effrontery of writing a critical commentary about the story, titled Playboy Magazine Officially Hates Women, Conservative or Otherwise. Not only did AOL fire Tommy, but an AOL editor also had previously deleted his article (which he’s reposted on his personal blog, at the above link). No action has been taken against Mr. Cimbalo to my knowledge.
Empowering women my ass: when they’re conservatives and outspoken, it’s sexual assault time.
Which now brings us to Dave Letterman’s show of June 8th, when he decided to get his load off on Sarah Palin via this Top Ten Highlights of Sarah Palin’s Trip to New York , including these two gems:
3 Finally met one of those Jewish people Mel Gibson’s always talking about
Remarkable twofer here: not only associating Sarah with alleged anti-Semites (remember also how she was disinvited from speaking at an anti-Iran rally under pressure from Jewish Democratic organizations) but also portraying her (and by implication her fellow-Alaskans) as living in a state that is Judenfrei.
2 Bought makeup from Bloomingdale’s to update her “slutty flight attendant” look
Bleech!
Now remember this is the sitting governor that Letterman is speaking so vilely about. Would he have dared attack another female governor like this?
Or for the matter, how do you think it would have gone over if Letterman had made this joke about Gov. Paterson:
2 Bought bling at Bloomingdale’s to go with his “street pimp” look.
I am certain Letterman would have been fired and shown the door faster than you could say Don Imus.
Not content with attacking the adult Palin female, Letterman than came up with this gem during his monologue:
…One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankees game: during the 7th inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez. [15 seconds of laughter and applause] You can see how that would be awkward. [Imitating Gov Palin] “Now cut that out; get back in the dugout”…
And the daughter that accompanied Gov. Palin to the Yankees game? That was Willow Palin, her 14 year-old daughter. Okay, class, let’s spell out together today’s words of the day: S-T-A-T-U-T-O-R-Y R-A-P-E? That’s what Letterman was fantasizing about on national TV.
And just when you think it couldn’t get worse, the next night (June 9th) after a couple of mild jokes about Gov. Palin’s visit to New York, Letterman decided to double down with this sidesplitter [NOT]:
The toughest part of her trip was keeping Eliot Spitzer away from her daughter. That was the hard part.
Nothing left to the imagination here, Letterman again revels in fantasizing about the statutory rape of Willow, only this time he further degrades her by calling this 14 year-old child a prostitute before the nation. Creepy, very creepy.
Time for a shower break…
Back again. Here we have an adult man on national TV joking about statutory rape on a 14-year-old child who is only in the public eye because she is the daughter of a governor who has become the hate object of millions of liberals and Democrats in this country. When Sarah did not get driven from the public arena, the campaign quickly expanded to humiliate and degrade her daughters as well in a cowardly attempt to make life such a living hell that Sarah will give up.
This is violence against women. This is a sample of the thuggery and bullying tactics that have become the modus operandi of the new Democratic majority – with far worse yet in the wings.
Well, what about the TV audience, you ask? Funny you should inquire…
The audience is whooping and hollering, thrilling in every pornographic moment. Folks, this is a prodrome to the Two Minutes Hate described in Orwell’s 1984.
I suspect that no one in the media will protest Mr. Letterman’s actions because they are rightly afraid that any criticism will result in their being fired, as happened with Tommy Christopher who protested the Playboy rape list.
I don’t know about you, but this brings me to mourn for our nation.
We are approaching the start of a reign of terror. If not reversed, the lesson of history is that it will only be a matter of time before our leaders and elites set up their 21st century edition of guillotines in the Place de la Révolution and start lining up their political opponents. And unquestionably, conservative women will be at the front of that line.

Funny you should bring up “1984″, CT. I’m about to reread it and have been wondering if I’ve somehow been applying too much of it to today’s leftist society.
I think you’ve already answered that for me, but I’ll still reread the book because it is so good.
